We're hosting a Rowing Open House on Sunday, May 3rd, from 12pm-3pm at the Thomas Temple Allan Boathouse (276 Woodlands
Road). Whether you have experience, are a complete beginner, or just curious about the sport, this is your chance to:
Tour our boathouse and meet our community
Try the rowing machines (ergs) and hop in a boat
Learn how you can join our Learn to Row program
No experience needed-just wear some exercise clothes, bring a water bottle, and show up with curiosity! Feel free to bring a friend.
We can't wait to meet you and get you on the water!

Saturday August 16, 2025, come out for racing and socializing with fellow club members! There will be organized racing, as well as potlucking. If you want to participate in racing please sign up HERE. It's a great way to end the Summer! In the event of thunderstorms events will still be held inside the boathouse. ALL RRC rowers are welcome.
Learn to row or come back to rowing with one of our summer programs. LTR group 1 is starting on May 27th, to be followed by novice class. Masters program open for sign up! Starting on June 17th.

Saturday December 16 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Kardinal Hall
RRC will rent out the private room at Kardinal Hall from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm for members to come and hang out in celebration of the year and the Holiday Season. Family members and guests are welcome to come. There is no cost associated with this event but feel free to purchase your own food or beverages if you wish.
Bring Camping chairs, blankets, and snacks if you are interested in watching America's oldest & most prestigious rowing regatta.

Sunday September 17, come out for and support your fellow rowers who are interested in practicing their boat flipping skills (gentle ribbing allowed 😉). You don't have to participate in the "flipping" to come. ALL RRC rowers are welcome.

RRC is happy to announce that Summer 2023 Masters Programs are open for registration.
Both programs will primarily focus on improving technique in large team boats and building up overall fitness. Sculling program will focus on quads, but it may offer some coaching in smaller boats based on participation and skill levels.
Our Intermediate/ Novice classes will also be starting in July, these programs are open to anyone with any completed LTR class. Rowers with more experience who would like a skill refresher are welcome to join to improve sculling or sweep skills.
Rivanna Rowing Club is happy to announce a new benefit associated with Membership, the participation in our Sunday Social Rows! Members will be able to row club boats without the need for additional equipment fees on Sundays during our Social Rows.

The 2023 season of rowing has officially started on April 3, with Spring Sculling, which offers coached sweep and sculling sessions twice a week for experienced rowers interested in advancing their skills.
