AHS Jrs Win at 2019 Scholastic National Regatta

Congratulations to AHS Juniors on their fantastic performance at the 2019 Scholastic National Regatta!

 

The Albemarle High School Rowing team trains and practices at the same boathouse (shared with UVA & RRC) on the Rivanna South Fork Reservoir. Under the leadership of coaches Cathy Coffman and Scott Stroney, AHS had 5 boats qualifying for Scholastic National Regatta, and each ended up winning a medal: 3 bronze, 1 silver, and 1 gold!

RRC Coach and Boatman Celebrated in UVA News

As boatman for the Cavaliers, Roger Payne was responsible for a little bit of everything. RRC members know Roger through his dedication as a sculling coach, and his handy expertise in maintaining the fleet.
