Masters Open Rowing is for scullers and sweep rowers who want to improve technical skills and maintain general fitness by participating in a regular coached workout. Participants must be RRC members who have an up-to-date USRowing waiver and who are capable swimmers. Social distancing, masks and equipment cleaning will be maintained according to the posted guidelines. Continued enrollment in these programs is at the discretion of the coach.
Prerequisites for joining masters programs:
At least 1 year of experience and 1 completed Novice/ Intermediate program
Capable swimmer for water safety
Current Year RRC Membership
Execution of this year’s USRowing waiver

It’s time to get back on the water! The Masters Fitness/Performance program is for rowers interested in participating in regattas or generally want to challenge themselves. The program will be focused on honing/improving technical skills and overall fitness. The program will offer on-water instruction and off-water self-development opportunities. While race participation is not required, a solid foundation in rowing technique and fitness is necessary.
The program will offer both sweep and sculling. When signing up please indicate your preference of sweep or scull and your interest in participating in regatta’s. Participate interest will determine what boat(s) we can field in a regatta.
This class is open for all Masters with at least one year of experience and one Novice class completed or at the Coach’s discretion.

The Masters Daytime program is for those individuals, both novice and lifelong rowers, who are looking to improve their rowing technique and skills. The program will focus on continuing to improve the basics of rowing – form, technique, and fitness. In addition to the on-water instruction, the program will include off-water drills rowers can perform to improve overall fitness and enhance rowing skills. The program will offer both sweep and sculling.
This class is open for all Masters with at least one year of experience and one Novice class completed or at the Coach’s discretion.

Clinic will focus on all the technical and fitness requirements of racing. More advanced technical and physical levels are required, contact programs or the coach if you are uncertain. Winter Erg is back! Erging is a full body workout and one of the best ways to condition or maintain for the upcoming rowing season! In addition, coached Erging gives you the opportunity to practice foundational techniques and will enhance your on-the-water rowing experience. All classes will meet at the Boathouse.
Class Focus: Proper Erg/rowing technique/form and conditioning.
