Announcing Summer '23 Masters Sweep and Sculling

Summer Sweep and Sculling Programs are Here!

RRC is happy to announce that Summer 2023 Masters Programs are open for registration.

Coach Walker Hauptman will lead 6-weeks long sweep and sculling programs with the help of coach Caroline King.

Programs will start on July 10 and run through August 19, and will provide 18 rowing sessions per program during 6 weeks.

Both programs will primarily focus on improving technique in large team boats and building up overall fitness. Sculling program will focus on quads, but it may offer some coaching in smaller boats based on participation and skill levels. Based on rowers preferences, coaches will provide competitive coaching leading to racing. Race participation is not required and will be per interest base. As always, we will do our best to provide good rowing experience and enough challenge to everyone.

Masters programs are open to everyone with at least 1 year of experience and at least one intermediate level class taken. Returning rowers are welcome. Coaches have a discretion to assess skill levels and advise accordingly.

Notes for all programs:

RRC membership for the calendar year, and US Rowing waiver, SafeSport certification, and basic membership are required for participation

In order to run a program, a minimum signup of 12 members per program is required, with a maximum of 20. If programs are canceled, registration fees will be refunded.  Otherwise, per RRC policy, refunds will only be issued based on documented medical reasons, and in a timely manner.
